For our headquarters in Pesaro, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of MICE to join our commercial team. This strategic role will be responsible for developing and managing booking activities for our properties—focusing particularly on events, conferences, and groups—and for maximizing business opportunities within the MICE segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and build relationships with new and existing clients in the MICE sector to generate new business opportunities and increase revenue in this segment.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the MICE business, ensuring short- and long-term objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their specific MICE needs.
  • Event Coordination: Work closely with operational teams to ensure the seamless execution of conferences, meetings, incentives, and corporate events.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver customized proposals and presentations for MICE clients, aligning them with their needs and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitors, and market demands to adapt sales tactics and strategy accordingly.
  • Revenue Optimization: Collaborate with the revenue management team on market segment budgeting, forecast updates, and operational planning to achieve set objectives for the MICE segment.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients on pricing, terms, and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, client feedback, and business development activities to senior management.
  • Networking: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to further promote the company’s MICE services.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of sales experience in the MICE segment for hotel companies or specialized MICE agencies (preferred).
  • A well-established network within the MICE segment .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills , with the ability to present and negotiate effectively with clients at all levels.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills , with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A customer-oriented attitude with proven ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
