Our client, an important multinational Consumer Goods Group, is currently looking for:
Head of Maintenance
The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety and business continuity of a large manufacturing facility. He/she will report to the Industrial General Manager and will be responsible for managing a team consisting of 400+ FTEs with 10 direct reports. In addition to supervising the maintenance operations in different production departments, he/she will be also involved in the study and implementation of major investments and development aimed at continuous improvements in preventive, predictive activities, as well as the implementation of Lean Manufacturing strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervision and coordination of all preventive and predictive maintenance activities with focus on all preventive and predictive activities, too
- Management of a team consisting of 400+ resources
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production processes
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Management and monitoring of OPEX, CAPEX and Headcount maintenance budgets
- Collaboration with other departments (Production, Quality, Technology, Engineering, Safety, Environment) to ensure business continuity
- Analysis of maintenance and production data to identify areas for improvement
- Development and implementation of training and succession plans for maintenance personnel
- Relationship management with external suppliers and contractors
- Relationship interfacing with official bodies and authorities (INAIL, ASL)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience of at least 10 years in a similar role in large manufacturing plants or in cross-factories positions
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems
- Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles
- Experience in managing continuous improvement projects
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Ability to use maintenance and production reliability data
- Expertise in energy management
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and deal with emergency situations
- Experience in human resource management, including personnel selection, training, and evaluation
- Skills in change management and transformational leadership
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Good Italian and English
