Head of Maintenance responsibilities

  • Maximize the maintenance team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employees, and owners\' satisfaction.
  • Oversee the maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel
  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
  • Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in a safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the hotel
  • Respond to guest\'s maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient prompt and courteous service to hotel standards
  • Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment, and tools and are kept in a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain, monitor and test hotel\'s emergency and security systems.

Head of Maintenance requirements

  • Valid B drivers\' license
  • Advanced knowledge of building management / engineering
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and on their own
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects that require heavy lifting or movement tasks.
  • Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, darkness and under very low temperatures
  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards

It would be beneficial for a Head of Maintenance to :

  • First Aid
  • Vocational training in engineering or similar field
  • Other types of driver\'s license

Pay, duration and benefits

  • Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period.
  • Starting in November and until the end of March.
  • Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience
  • Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement.
  • If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €250,00 / month
