Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a Head of M&A for a leading international player in the renewable energy industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving strategic investment decisions, leading complex transactions, and supporting the company’s growth across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate investment opportunities through comprehensive industry and market research, macroeconomic analysis, risk-return assessment, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Lead full project sale processes, including the preparation of investment memoranda, financial modeling, investor sourcing, and negotiation of transaction documents.
  • Independently review and audit sophisticated financial models, including VBA-enabled models, ensuring accuracy and reliability for managerial decision-making.
  • Manage M&A transactions, including maintaining data rooms, developing financial scenarios, facilitating investor Q&A processes, and coordinating with external advisors and potential investors.
  • Support cross-border investment and tax structuring, collaborating with external tax advisors while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Contribute to post-investment management, monitoring deal progress, and producing clear and concise transaction reports.
  • Oversee multiple simultaneous deals, providing strategic insights to optimize capital allocation and support P&L planning.
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to regional business development teams.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree or MBA in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, advisory, transaction services, or corporate finance, with a focus on M&A.
  • Strong expertise in analyzing complex transaction documents, numerical data, and financial logic.
  • Ability to lead and influence across multicultural teams and different time zones without direct authority.
  • Adaptable and innovative, capable of assessing the current environment and driving improvements in processes and strategy.
  • Established network within the renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
  • Full professional proficiency in Italian and English.
