Roots Global is an immigration firm helping internationally mobile clients move to Portugal, Spain, Greece, Malta, and beyond. We work with HNW individuals, digital nomads, retirees, and entrepreneurs 0 combining rigorous legal expertise with a concierge-level client experience.

We're expanding into Italy and building the team to do it properly. This is a senior founding hire that will help define how Roots Global operates in the Italian market.

The Opportunity

You'll own the Italy immigration practice from day one — building the service offering, leading client advisory, and hiring the team around you as the market grows. This isn't a role where you're inheriting a system; you're building one, with the backing of an established international brand and a leadership team that moves fast.

The Italian market presents a significant opportunity: the Investor Visa (Golden Visa), the Elective Residency Visa, the Digital Nomad Visa, and the flat-tax regime for HNW individuals are all generating strong inbound demand — particularly from the US, UK, and the UAE. You'll be positioned to capture that.

What You'll Own

• Full ownership of the Italy immigration practice — visas, residency permits, citizenship by descent, and investor pathways
• Senior client advisory across all Italian immigration matters, from intake through resolution
• Hiring and managing a team of lawyers, paralegals, and support staff as the practice scales
• Building internal SOPs, document templates, compliance processes, and quality standards for Italy
• Cross-border collaboration with the wider Roots Global team on clients relocating across our markets
• Business development — referral partnerships, professional networks, and market presence in Italy
• Contributing thought leadership and content to support marketing and brand-building in the Italian market
• Reporting to and working closely with the founding leadership team on market strategy and growth

What We're Looking For

• Qualified avvocato with active Italian bar membership
• 4+ years of experience in Italian immigration law — residency, visas, citizenship, and investor immigration
• Demonstrated experience leading a team or practice area or ready to step up
• Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building from scratch, setting priorities without a large support structure, and making decisions with incomplete information
• Excellent client-facing communication: clear, direct, and professional without being overly formal

Strongly preferred:

• Deep knowledge of the Italian investor visa and the flat-tax regime for HNW individuals (art. 24-bis TUIR)
• Existing professional network in Italian immigration, real estate, or wealth management
• Experience with international or cross-border client engagements
