Responsibilities

• Lead a local team under the direction of the EMEA Public Policy and Campaigns Director, developing and executing integrated policy engagement plans.
• Line manage a team of policy & strategic engagement experts, inspire the vision and ensure targets, projects, and budgets are met on time.
• Create an inclusive culture, manage performance, recruitment, succession planning, and empower team members to grow their professional and strategic skills.
• Determine strategy for priority geographies, set policy goals, develop operational plans, and collaborate with the wider EMEA team.
• Align campaigns with business priorities, manage stakeholders, report progress, and communicate priorities to senior leaders.
• Represent Airbnb at senior political levels, maintain relationships with legislative, executive, and administrative offices, and engage coalitions.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of experience working with complex political or regulatory issues in the travel, urbanism, or technology sectors.
• Deep knowledge of Italy, Greece, EU legislative processes; Israel is a plus.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical and regulatory issues and develop campaign strategies.
• Senior leadership experience managing diverse multidisciplinary teams with strong delegation, empowerment, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, prioritizing work, and coordinating support across functions.
• Excellent strategist, creative thinker, and expert communicator with strong writing and presentation skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
