Job Opening: Head of Fund Finance
Our client is an alternative investment platform targeting UHNWI families and entrepreneurs, offering access to private equity funds, venture capital, and other alternative assets.
To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Head of Fund Finance .
Responsibilities
The candidate, reporting directly to the CFO, will be responsible for:
- Co-managing the long-term structuring of funds, ensuring the structure evolves with fund growth, new product development, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborating with the IT team to promote operational automation and scalability, defining operational setup, and resource allocation.
- Maintaining and improving a robust internal control system, ensuring excellent financial governance, operational resilience, and investor (LPs) satisfaction.
- Managing relationships with external fund administrators, ensuring accurate NAV calculations, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Leading a team of fund accountants handling administration and treasury, fostering process improvements.
- Coordinating with depositaries, fund administrators, auditors, and other service providers to ensure data integrity across the fund ecosystem.
- Overseeing annual fund reviews, tax filings, and regulatory reports (e.g., AIFMD, FATCA / CRS) in collaboration with external providers.
- Monitoring and interpreting relevant regulatory changes affecting fund finance and accounting principles.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, and Lux GAAP where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in economics or finance.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in Fund Finance within fund of funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, or asset management firms.
- Deep knowledge of fund structures, share classes / capital accounts, NAV calculations, and carried interest models.
- Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal stakeholders and institutional investors.
- Fluent English language skills.
This role offers maximum exposure to Top Management, UHNWI, and entrepreneurs in investment management.
Employment contract: Permanent - CCNL Commercio.
Workplace: Milan.
