About The Position
Dometic is a global leader in outdoor living solutions, providing essential gear for an adventurous lifestyle. We are on an exciting growth and transformation journey, particularly within our Mobile Power Solutions business. We are recruiting the Head of Finance & Controlling, based in Pescara, Italy (Forli or Milan are also possible locations), who will oversee financial reporting, support strategic decision‑making, and drive business performance across the organization.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the accounting function for Mobile Power Solutions EMEA, including overseeing and actively participating in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the books. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and other financial reporting packages in accordance with internal and external requirements. Analyze financial results, providing clear insights to support both strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting for Mobile Power Solutions EMEA, working closely with department heads to gather financial data, ensuring accuracy, reporting through group reporting systems, and developing clear presentation materials to communicate assumptions, key drivers, and results.
- Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across MPS EMEA. Partner with business leaders in financial performance reviews and drive accountability toward targets.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls, and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits and implement improvements to strengthen governance and the internal control framework.
- Identify and drive improvements in reporting and processes to enhance reporting accuracy, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
A suitable background would include experience from auditing and/or accounting (experience in a Big 4 firm is considered highly meritorious), complemented by at least a couple of years of hands‑on business controlling or finance management experience within an operating company, partnering closely with a P&L leader. Additional qualifications viewed as meritorious include:
- Experience from a large organization (regional, divisional, or segment level) or from a mid‑sized, entrepreneurial company, working as a true business partner.
- International, product‑based business environment experience is preferred; experience from decentralized environments is a strong plus.
- Experience as the right‑hand person to a business manager, providing financial insights and support.
- Solid understanding and experience of accounting, preferably both local Italian GAAP and IFRS.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and financial reporting, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, strong knowledge of variance analysis and KPI tracking, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Fluency in Italian and English, written and verbal.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
