Head of Finance | Buy & Build Platform
Our client is an entrepreneurial buy & build platform, backed by experienced investors, currently building its Italian operations as part of a broader international growth strategy. We are looking for the Head of Finance who will play a pivotal role in setting up, structuring, and scaling the finance function, supporting both the holding company and its portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and cash management.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance activities, managing relationships with external providers (e.G. accounting, payroll, legal, tax advisors).
• Develop, own, and continuously update the company Business Plan.
• Lead financial modelling, scenario analysis, and capital structure planning.
• Set up and manage internal financial processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to ensure effective financial control and performance monitoring, both at holding level and across portfolio companies.
• Coordinate board meeting logistics, follow‑ups, and governance requirements.
• Prepare and deliver board materials, financial updates, and strategic presentations.
• Develop finance systems and ensure that systems and reporting infrastructure scale in line with the company’s growth trajectory.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in a Big 4 Transaction Services division, ideally complemented by 1–2 years in a corporate finance role within an operating company.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Hands‑on mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a start‑up/build‑up environment, and a genuine interest in contributing to its rapid evolution into a structured organisation. Eager to take on a disruptive challenge and be part of it from day one.
• Good command of English;
  French is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured reports and presentations.
