Head of Fiduciary Investment Risk Oversight

The candidate will support the GIH CRO in performing the following main activities:
- Supporting the GIH Affiliates CROs in setting up the risk management framework for new initiatives/line of business
- Supporting the GIH Affiliates in drafting/amending the local Investment Risk Management Procedure, sharing the approaches and experiences already witnessed within the GIH risk community and market best practices
- Performing on a regular basis an assessment of the GIH Affiliates Investment Risk Management Procedure, providing recommendations, defining remedial actions (if any) and monitoring their implementation
- Providing the GIH Board of Directors on a regular basis a summary of the main evidences on the assessments produced in the related period on the GIH Affiliates Investment Risk Management Procedures
- Providing support to the investment initiatives at Generali Investments level, as far as risk management is concerned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Quantitative disciplines (or equivalent experience), Computer Science, Information Technology
Professional Experience
- A minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience e.g. in risk management/oversight as CRO, Head of Financial Risk Management or equivalent in Asset Managers or Financial Institution managing different type of asset classes
Technical Skills
- Sounding knowledge of investments, markets and risks (market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, sustainability, valuation, model validation)
- Extensive knowledge in Financial Markets and Asset Management concepts and processes
- Knowledge in private assets instruments (e.g. Private Debt, Private Equity, Real Estate)
- Ability to write procedures and formal documentation describing related processes
- Knowledge of main risk management software, methodologies and tools (e.g. Risk Metrics, Bloomberg…)
- Experience with Excel, Python, VBA or data visualization tools (Power BI) is advantageous
- Working knowledge of VBA, R or MATLAB for statistical analysis is also appreciated
