We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – PV and BESS to lead the technical delivery of large scale renewable energy projects, from early feasibility through to construction handover. This is a leadership role where you will shape engineering strategy, manage a multidisciplinary team, and support key investment and development decisions.
What you will be doing:
• Lead and develop a team of PV, electrical, civil, and storage engineers
• Oversee full lifecycle design of utility scale PV and hybrid PV and BESS projects
• Take ownership of energy yield assessments using tools such as PVsyst and PlantPredict
• Optimise layouts for performance, cost efficiency, and constructability
• Lead BESS sizing, integration, and control strategy development
• Collaborate with suppliers, developers, EPC teams, and stakeholders
• Oversee grid connection studies and ensure compliance with grid codes
• Support procurement, technical due diligence, and project delivery
What we are looking for
• 7 to 10 plus years of experience in utility scale solar and or BESS engineering
• Strong expertise in PVsyst and layout optimisation tools
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Solid understanding of grid requirements, IEC and IEEE standards, and EPC interfaces
• Experience supporting project development and investment decisions
Preferred experience
• Experience with hybrid PV and storage optimisation models
• Strong commercial awareness and technical due diligence experience
