Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Head of Ecommerce to lead and accelerate the growth of our Direct-to-Consumer business. This role will have full ownership of Ecommerce turnover and profitability, defining the strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence of ghdhair.com. The Head of Ecommerce will lead a team of two dedicated Ecommerce professionals and play a pivotal role in driving sustainable digital growth, ensuring strong commercial performance, brand consistency, and seamless execution. The role has the potential to evolve in scope, including ownership of the Ecommerce marketplace channel, with the opportunity to take on full management of the Digital Department. A solid understanding of the broader digital ecosystem — including performance marketing, CRM, and digital analytics — is considered a strong advantage.
Job Role and Responsibilities
Ecommerce Strategy & Commercial Ownership
- Full accountability for Ecommerce turnover, margins, and profitability targets
- Definition and execution of strategic, commercial, and operational plans
- Development and management of the digital activation and promotional calendar
- Demand planning, forecasting, and close alignment with Operations to ensure stock availability
- Ongoing market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities
Website Management & Conversion Optimization
- End-to-end management of ghdhair.com (homepage, category pages, PDPs, promotions, product launches)
- Continuous performance analysis and testing (CRO) to improve conversion rate and customer journey
- Close collaboration with Digital Marketing to optimize traffic quality, ROAS, and overall profitability
- KPI monitoring and structured weekly/monthly performance reporting
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Direct management, coaching, and development of a team of two Ecommerce specialists
- Coordination with Digital Marketing, PR, Social, and Influencer teams to ensure fully integrated campaigns
- Alignment with HQ on performance tracking, digital roadmap, and implementation of best practices
Key Skills & Experience
- 6–8+ years of experience in Ecommerce or Digital Business roles
- Strong experience in DTC Ecommerce management (strategy and hands‑on execution)
- Proven experience in team coordination and leadership
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent knowledge of digital analytics tools
- Excellent English (written and spoken)
