Head of Communication – Milan / Remote


We are a technology-driven organisation working at the intersection of AI, machine learning and geospatial intelligence . Through the integration of satellite imagery, mobility data and large-scale spatial analytics, we support global actors in making informed decisions that strengthen sustainability, infrastructure and urban resilience.

We are now seeking a Head of Communication to define and lead our communication strategy from the ground up — positioning our technology and mission in a clear, compelling way.


About the Role

This is a strategic leadership position with full ownership over communication vision, brand identity and public presence. You will transform complex technical work into accessible storytelling, shape messaging across all channels, and drive visibility in the geospatial and AI innovation space.

You will collaborate closely with leadership — with full creative freedom.


Key Responsibilities

You will lead communication end-to-end, including:

Build a long-term communication & brand strategy

Craft narratives around geospatial and AI-driven innovation

Own content production (written, visual, multimedia)

Manage social platforms with a focus on LinkedIn growth & engagement

Lead web content updates, case studies & product storytelling

Run digital campaigns informed by analytics & performance metrics

Manage SEO, SEM and visibility initiatives

Coordinate external suppliers, agencies & creatives

Organise and support participation in global events & conferences

Produce communication material for partners, media and stakeholders

Work cross-functionally with business & technical teams


Profile

✔ Master's degree in Communication, Marketing, Media or related discipline

✔ 4–6+ years experience in strategic communication or brand leadership

✔ Excellent storytelling skills — written, verbal, visual

✔ Experience developing integrated communication strategies

✔ Strong digital awareness — analytics, performance tracking, SEO/SEM

✔ Proactive, independent and comfortable leading initiatives

✔ Experience coordinating campaigns, events or external suppliers


Preferred:

➕ Familiarity with geospatial data, satellite imagery or mobility analytics

➕ Experience in tech, innovation, sustainability or data-driven sectors

➕ Ability to align messaging across technical & commercial teams
