Overview
Euroapi is looking for a Head of Communications to join in our Brindisi Plant reporting directly to the Corporate Head of Communication.
Responsibilities
- Media relations — Define the country media strategy; Ensure a media watch on the press coverage concerning the company; Accompany the development of communication skills within site Top management teams and advise them in their strategic thinking (media training, crisis comm scenario...).
- Operational Communication — Managing general or specialized communication agencies for major site events (Family Day, site anniversary); Supervise the adaptation and translation of materials produced at central level for the company's various internal and external audiences (media releases, leaflet, posters, etc.); Develop the event and public relations strategy or even accompany the Top executives on their trips outside the company or represent the company; Establish and pilot the annual budget of the Department.
- Corporate Social Responsibility & Risk Management — Ensure coordination of CSR and Risk management activities at country and site level; Implement the global CSR strategy at country level and complete the global CSR strategy with country specifications and commitment in collaboration with central CSR lead; Monitor risks linked to the country situation and ensure regular feedback with central team; Lead the development of a proactive Risk Management culture across the site.
- Public Affairs — Establish and implement the country Public Affairs strategy to defend Euroapi's interests in the National ecosystem and enhance awareness of the organization; Analyze and report social, environmental and political trends and issues in the country, to anticipate significant opportunities and risks to Euroapi's business results; Map, build and manage close relationships and operational partnerships with the most critical stakeholders to develop and execute country Public Affairs’ tactical plans and contribute to Euroapi global Public Affairs’ strategy : by understanding their objectives / priorities, key initiatives, health and policy positions, strengths and sources of leverage, capacity building needs, and opportunity areas for collaboration; This includes a deep understanding of the financing mechanisms that are accessible at country level, in order to identify fundraising opportunities that could serve the economic interests of both parties; Ensure and drive consistent engagement with PA stakeholders with compliance, transparency, and best practice stakeholder management principles. Enhance our company reputation and represent Euroapi to our partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications or related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
- Very good knowledge of the management of communication problematics, ability to work with central communication team as well as communication agencies, media, ...
- A significant experience in the Pharma & / or Chemistry environment with a proven track record in creating strategies and programs on a country level with a good knowledge of European regulation
- A high-level strategic thinker capable of partnering with senior leaders
- Good knowledge of Public Affairs, CSR and Risk management principles and practices
- Entrepreneurial skills to develop a strategic ambition
- Leadership: ability to challenge, convince and lead large multidisciplinary & cultural networks
- Excellent project management skills
- Very good communication culture
- Ability to work and deliver under pressure, diplomacy and discretion, as he/she evolves with a multitude of actors with often competing interests
- English: Writing and oral fluency
