INFORMAZIONI Job Description
Within the Group Chief Investment Office, we are seeking a talented and proactive professional to lead the Switzerland & France regions as part of the Group ALM and Investment Risk Assessment within the Global Investment Management function.
This role involves leading and coordinating ALM and Investment Risk activities across the region, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk tolerance frameworks. The combined insurance assets under management exceed 100 billion euros .
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ALM, financial risk management, and regulatory frameworks within insurance and investment management, complemented by strong leadership and communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders across different geographies.
The position can be based in Milan or Trieste.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the ALM & Investment Risk unit for Switzerland and France, overseeing ALM and investment risk activities, ensuring compliance with group policies, strategic priorities, and local business needs, while coordinating resources in the respective countries.
- Supporting the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) process by providing key strategic drivers, targets, and constraints at the portfolio level.
- Contributing to the product development process from an investment perspective, ensuring asset allocation, financial assumptions, and liquidity considerations are integrated into new insurance products with a savings component.
- Ensuring proper execution of first-level risk controls locally, identifying and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborating with Group and local CFO, CIO, and CRO teams to ensure consistency in ALM methodologies and investment risk frameworks.
- Serving as a key contact for ALM and Investment Risk topics within the region, facilitating knowledge sharing and best practices across entities.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a similar quantitative field
- At least 10 years of experience in financial risk management, capital/liquidity management, ALM, or actuarial roles, preferably in insurance or consulting
- Strong background in life valuation metrics, actuarial models, financial modeling, capital markets instruments, and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II and IFRS 9/17
- Proficiency in tools like Matlab, Python, R, or Prophet
- Knowledge of French and Swiss insurance products and local accounting rules is a plus
- Experience in team management is a plus
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or German is highly preferred
