Head of Accounting & Controlling Manager

Main Responsibilities

The resource will report to the Vice President of Finance & Corporate Controlling and the CEO of Enerqos, managing a team of four. She/he will oversee the administrative and controlling office, ensuring proper management of accounting, administrative activities, cash management, planning, controlling, and reporting. A special focus will be on supervising the integration of IT tools with the Group, especially in the short to mid-term, with long-term responsibility for Group process and policy compliance.

Main Activities:

  • Monitor accurate accounting data entry, verify quadrature, and ensure alignment with information systems, making necessary entries directly in the accounting systems for complex areas.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the company's financial reports, oversee monthly closures, and draft annual financial statements.
  • Manage planning and forecasting processes in line with Group requirements and coordinate with local functions.
  • Provide ongoing business performance analysis against plans through weekly/monthly KPI reports to local and Group management.
  • Partner with Business Unit leaders and support them in financial activities.
  • Manage relations with auditing and tax firms, providing necessary accounting information.
  • Coordinate cash planning and management according to Group guidelines, reconcile bank accounts, and ensure timely credit/debit processing, maintaining proper records.
  • Support procurement in the procure-to-pay process, including purchase requests, orders, goods receipt, and payment approvals.
  • Manage the active billing cycle to customers.
  • Lead the implementation of ERP software Microsoft Dynamics D365 and other BI tools for planning and controlling, in coordination with US headquarters.
  • Serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting, administrative controlling, and financial roles, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Degree in economics, finance, or related fields.
  • Excellent organizational and resource management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP accounting regulations; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, especially accounting and financial management software; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable to complex, evolving situations.
  • Precise with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams.
