The main job responsibilities will be:

  • To work with electrical engineers to design circuit boards assemblies, including MCU, SOC, high voltage, high power, HDI, and high-speed, etc.
  • To design printed circuit boards meeting high-volume production grade


  • To lead layout reviews with internal and external teams
  • To monitor layout progress and change management
  • To work with mechanical engineers on mechanical-electrical packaging
  • To support quick-turn board builds with PCB contract manufacturers
  • To release technical documents (BOM, design procedures, design for manufacture, etc.)
  • To release the layout drawings to the various teams and coordinate their layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the layout of high-speed PCBs
  • Experienced in routing high-speed digital DDRx (4 gen minimum) memory interface, PCIe, etc.
  • Experienced with constraints-driven PCB layout methodology
  • Experienced in building and maintaining design guidelines
  • PCB layer stack-up design
  • Library and Layout review process
  • IPC Standards for Symbol and Footprint creation
  • Gerber release process


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in industrial or automotive (preferred) area (TIER1)
  • Detailed understanding of high-speed digital PCB routing constraints, multilayer PCB construction
  • Experience with BGA pitch of equal to or less than 0.5mm
  • Experience managing 3rd party layout services
  • Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews
  • Justified experience with leading, animating, and following up on layout design reviews
  • Experienced with at least 2 CAD tools hereafter for schematic and layout: Cadence, Mentor, Altium, Zuken. Altium is preferred
