Bludental , a rapidly expanding network of dental clinics across Italy, is looking for a Clinical Director to join its team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Management and Coordination of the Clinical Organization
- Coordinate and oversee the organization of the Group’s medical staff.
- Structure the planning of clinical activities in close collaboration with the CCO and the Director of Production.
- Appoint, coordinate, and monitor medical tutors, trainers, and auditors within the Network.
- Establish and lead a Clinical Start-Up Team , composed of at least two additional professionals, capable of managing new clinic openings and covering extraordinary clinical staffing needs.
- Support clinics in resolving clinical and organizational issues.
- Collaborate with Area Supervisors and other functional Supervisors to ensure effective integration between clinical and operational functions.
2. Recruitment and Onboarding Process
- Define and lead the medical recruitment process in collaboration with HR.
- Promote medical employer branding strategies, strengthening the Group’s visibility and attractiveness.
- Build relationships with Italian and international universities, foundations, and training institutes to attract young talent and experienced professionals.
- Oversee onboarding and mentoring processes, ensuring a structured integration into the clinics.
3. Training, Audits, and Process Definition
- Design and coordinate continuous education and clinical training programs.
- Plan and supervise clinical audits to assess quality, appropriateness, and compliance with protocols.
- Define, validate, and update corporate clinical protocols, ensuring proper implementation across all locations.
- Collaborate with senior doctors to propose, validate, and implement shared clinical protocols.
- Update informed consent documentation in collaboration with the legal department and clinical stakeholders.
4. Clinical-Legal Support and Healthcare Governance
- Oversee and manage the medical aspects of disputes with patients and professionals, in coordination with the legal department.
- Possess knowledge and sensitivity in medico-legal or forensic matters to handle complex and delicate cases effectively.
- Act as the clinical reference for treatment failures, re-treatments, and repairs, supporting the management of complex cases.
5. Clinical Innovation and Strategic Consulting
- Contribute to the strategic evolution of organizational models and clinical processes.
- Support and ensure the introduction and adoption of new dental specialties within the Network.
- Collaborate with the IT and Operations teams to implement digital solutions, teledentistry, artificial intelligence, and diagnostic support tools.
- Evaluate the suitability of consumables, instruments, and equipment to be adopted at group level.
- Support the evaluation and selection of dental laboratories with a focus on quality and reliability.
6. Monitoring of Clinical Performance
- Define and monitor medical, productivity, and quality KPIs.
- Analyze clinical data and provide strategic recommendations to the CCO and the Director of Production.
- Act promptly in the presence of critical issues or deviations from company standards.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics with registration with the professional board.
- A Master’s degree or managerial training (MBA, Health Management, etc.) is preferred.
- Training or experience in medico-legal/forensic matters is considered a strong plus.
Experience
- At least 10 years of clinical experience as a dentist.
- Proven experience in managing medical teams, organizational processes, and leadership roles within commercial healthcare organizations.
