Job Title: Group Digital Applications & OT Manager
Reports to: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Role Overview
SOMACIS is growing internationally and strengthening its digital capabilities across plants and functions. To support this evolution, we are looking for a Group Digital Applications & OT Manager — a technically solid and hands‑on professional who can guide our application landscape, support our factories, and help us build a more integrated and reliable digital environment.
This role sits at the intersection of corporate applications (excluding ERP), MES/OT systems, and the Group’s data platform for BI and analytics . You will contribute to the evolution of these solutions, ensuring they are well integrated, stable, secure, and aligned with business needs. You will help us move from fragmented tools to a more consistent and scalable application ecosystem.
The role combines technical depth and practical leadership . You will work on architectures and integrations, but also step in directly when needed — troubleshooting a MES interface, refining an API flow, or supporting the development of a new data pipeline. You will collaborate closely with the ERP pillar, Operations/Infrastructure, and Security & Compliance to ensure that applications and shopfloor systems run smoothly across all sites.
You will lead a small team, coordinate external partners, and work with local IT teams in different countries. Your contribution will have a visible impact on production continuity, data quality, and the daily work of our plants and corporate functions.
Skills that make you a strong fit
- Application architecture & integration — APIs, middleware, SAP/S4HANA integration patterns (IDoc/BAPI, CPI/PO).
- MES/OT & shopfloor systems — industrial protocols, edge architectures, digital manufacturing workflows.
- Data platform & BI — data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics platforms.
- Leadership & collaboration — guiding a small team, working with local IT across countries.
- Hands‑on mindset — ability to dive into technical details when needed.
Location: Castelfidardo (AN), with international travel
