Position

Brief description of the role:

The Green Energy Analyst Intern will join Atlante’s Green Energy team, responsible for defining and implementing the company’s energy strategy. The role supports electricity procurement activities, monitors energy consumption and costs across the charging network, and contributes to data analysis and forecasting models.

The intern will collaborate with internal teams to support network development and projects related to renewable energy integration and energy storage.

Value creation:

The role contributes to Atlante’s energy strategy by supporting cost-efficient electricity procurement and improving the monitoring and analysis of energy consumption across the charging network.

The intern will help enhance forecasting tools and analytical models to support strategic decision-making and energy risk management. The position also contributes to the exploration of new energy-related business opportunities, including energy trading and the integration of renewable energy and battery storage solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support electricity procurement activities by collaborating in the operational and analytical management of existing contracts (monitoring economic conditions, performance against market benchmarks) and evaluating new supply structures.
  • Monitor the electricity consumption and costs of our charging network, analyzing actual data and supporting the optimization of energy spending.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of forecasting models by updating analysis tools (e.g., Excel/Python models) in order to support strategic decisions and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development of new energy-related business lines, with particular focus on energy trading activities in the main European markets (e.g., day-ahead markets and balancing services), analyzing the regulatory aspects and economic feasibility, also in coordination with other teams.

Requirements

  • Student in Engineering (preferably energy engineering, management engineering, or related fields) or Economics.
  • Interest in the energy sector and, ideally, some initial experience or a project related to energy.
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong proficiency with IT tools, particularly Excel. Knowledge of programming (Python, Power BI, or similar) is considered a plus.
