We offer you a unique opportunity to be part of our RME team, where you can apply your academic knowledge and continue learning alongside top professionals. Throughout the program, you'll develop technical skills and competences through a tailored training itinerary. In addition to technical problem-solving, you'll enhance planning, prioritization, analytical, communication skills, and teamwork.
Our program supports the development of both technical and interpersonal skills. A mentor from the Automation Engineer Team (AE Team) will guide you to succeed in these areas. You will participate in over 300 hours of theoretical and practical training with external providers, covering topics such as electrical and electronic systems (e.g., EPLAN, panel wiring and assembly), automation and robotics (e.g., PLC programming, Python, SQL basics), project management, and communication. Upon completion, you'll be qualified for an Automation Engineer position within our maintenance teams.
During the apprenticeship, you'll work on-site with the AE Team, responsible for all control systems and sensors within the building:
- Monitor, fault find, and repair systems to ensure high equipment availability for internal customers.
- Train technicians in control system fault finding to increase site knowledge.
- Collaborate within the EU Controls network to monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics, troubleshooting, and data visualization.
- Participate or lead continuous improvement projects within the EU Controls network.
- Work with IT, EU Controls Engineering, and Operations Engineering to document systems and maintain backup libraries.
This role involves working in non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends. Remote work is not available. Positions are based in Piedmont, Lombardy, and Veneto regions.
Basic Qualifications
- You are between 18 and 29 years old.
- You hold or will obtain a Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering before the program starts.
- You speak Italian fluently and communicate effectively (written and verbal).
- You can communicate in English at Level B2 or higher.
- You can understand and follow technical instructions.
- You are passionate about Automation and Engineering.
- You are motivated, practical, and eager to learn and develop.
- You have basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
- You are proactive and open to acquiring new skills.
- You enjoy teamwork and building relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Project management experience.
- Software development experience.
