What Do We Look For?
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a related field (Hospitality, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in receiving, stewarding, or storekeeping within the hospitality industry (restaurants or hotels)
- Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with receiving procedures, stock control, and inventory management
- Ability to operate and monitor cleaning, safety, and stewarding equipment effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of inventory/receiving systems (Micros, Axapta, or similar) is a plus
- Team-oriented, proactive, and hands-on approach to operations
What Will You Work On?
- Monitor closely the requirements of the receiving department - check the chemicals, cleaning and safety equipment as necessary
- Supervise the functions of all stewards, facilities, operations and costs
- Ensure that clean and sanitize all food items according to the established operating standards
- Clean and sanitize the walk-in fridges according to operating standards
- Handle food and beverage items with care in order to reduce breakage; minimizes costs through controlling breakages, loss and excessive usage
- Strictly adhere to the opening and closing procedures established for the department
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of hygiene procedures
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized at all times
- Exercise careful use of operating Supplies in order to reduce spoilage and wastage
- Be hands-on and present in the Restaurant /kitchens at all times during operational periods
- Check on an ongoing basis: quality levels of product and service, operating costs, sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene
- Establish minimum and maximum operating par stock and supplies for kitchen and restaurant
