Job Description
Global Senior Product Manager – Thermal Systems, Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy. This role is responsible for defining product strategy, managing the product life cycle, and ensuring market success for Thermal solutions across global markets. The incumbent will lead product planning, requirements definition, and go‑to‑market execution, collaborating cross‑functionally with customers, engineering, advanced development, and sales teams to deliver innovative thermal solutions that address AI‑driven giga‑scale deployments.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep insights into customer needs and desired outcomes through extensive market, customer, and channel research to identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities across the thermal chain.
- Define the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and collaborate with other Product Lines to share and align on requirements.
- Develop the Thermal System Value proposition and pricing strategy, and follow up pricing initiatives with the different product lines.
- Develop and promote tools and documentation for data‑center reference designs.
- Define product requirements and specifications based on customer needs and market trends, applying traditional product‑management best practices.
- Develop and execute business cases for new products that complete the Vertiv Thermal System offering.
- Drive new product development and introduction (NPDI) activities to complete the product offering and successfully launch new solutions to the sales organization.
- Enable sales success through training, tools, and commercial support aligned with newly developed offerings.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on Thermal Systems applications and projects, representing Vertiv at global and regional industry events to promote offerings, build relationships, and gather market intelligence.
- Engage in key customer meetings and support Thermal Systems initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, commercial product leadership, or related roles, preferably within the thermal, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record in new product introduction, commercialization, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of emerging thermal technologies and energy systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Global experience or exposure to international markets is preferred.
