The Global Project Manager (GPM) for Procure-to-Pay (P2P) is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and delivering complex, cross-functional finance operations projects across global business units. This role ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and with business value realized. The GPM will drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and ensure seamless coordination across regions, business functions, and external partners.
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead the full project lifecycle for P2P transformation and optimization initiatives — from initiation through closure
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in partnership with key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, ensuring proactive management of scope, schedules, risks, issues, and interdependencies
Global Program Coordination
- Manage complex projects across multiple regions, time zones, and business cultures
- Ensure alignment of local operational requirements with global process standards, enabling regional flexibility where appropriate without compromising global consistency
- Coordinate effectively across functional, regional, technical, and operational teams to ensure project cohesion and issue resolution
Budget & Resource Management
- Own project financials, including budget development, forecasting and tracking
- Monitor actual vs. planned financials and resource utilization, taking corrective actions as needed
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Collaborates with dedicated Change Management and Communications teams to integrate change management activities into the project plan
- Ensures project timelines and deliverables align with organizational readiness activities, training schedules, and stakeholder communication milestones
Risk, Issue, & Dependency Management
- Proactively identify project risks, issues and interdependencies
- Develop and maintain mitigation plans, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate
Vendor & Third-Party Oversight
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and project objectives
Project Governance & Reporting
- Establish and maintain project governance framework, including steering committees and regular status reporting
- Leverage appropriate project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA) for tracking, collaboration, and reporting
Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate post project reviews and lessons learned sessions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-regional projects in a matrixed, global organization
- Demonstrated experience leading projects involving Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Pay, or broader finance operations transformation initiatives
- Strong knowledge of P2P processes, controls, and operational best practices, with an understanding of how local requirements interface with global process standards
- Proven ability to manage projects across multiple regions, time zones, and business cultures, with cultural sensitivity and agility.
- Solid financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans
- Hands-on experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or equivalent) for planning, tracking, and reporting
- Experience working with and managing third-party vendors, consultants, or service providers
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization, including executive sponsors and regional leadership
- Excellent risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with organizational change management principles and demonstrated ability to support operational readiness activities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, or equivalent certification
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or other enterprise finance / P2P systems
- Experience in shared services, business process outsourcing (BPO), or global service delivery models
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
