Global Product Manager

Overview

As Global Product Manager for Large Power UPS offerings, you drive the entire product lifecycle from ideation to end of life. You provide market direction, act as a thought leader, and align product strategy with the global portfolio and GTM plans. You’ll build business cases, manage regional financials, and enable sales with training and tools. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and sales to shape high‑impact power solutions for data centers. You will be a key voice of the customer and a driver of strategic priorities at Vertiv.

Responsibilities

• Provide market direction and SME guidance for assigned Large Power UPS offerings
• Own full product lifecycle from ideation, planning, NPDI, launch, sustaining, to End of Life
• Collaborate with Portfolio team to align messaging and direction with the full offering portfolio
• Contribute to global portfolio strategy and go‑to‑market plans
• Develop business cases including revenue implications and funding
• Present business cases through development and launch phases
• Coordinate product financial management with regional teams
• Deliver training content for sales and market teams
• Prepare presentations and support product demos and sales enablement
• Serve as sales escalation point for complex opportunities
• Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to capture Voice of the Customer
• Embed in other LOB offerings to influence market specifications and engineering resource needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• MBA and prior consulting, strategic planning, or product marketing preferred
• Technical ability to translate customer needs into solutions
• Strong cross‑functional relationship development
• Excellent written and oral communication of technical concepts
• Strong relationship management
• Very strong research and analytical skills
• Experience with 3‑phase power distribution or UPS systems preferred
• Approximately 15% travel; willingness to participate in global calls outside normal hours
