At Hitachi Energy, we are seeking a Global Portfolio Excellence Leader who will play a key role in driving the operational excellence of our portfolio and product management organization. This role is essential for defining, establishing, and maintaining the processes, tools, and governance needed to support business growth and the regionalization and application of the portfolio, ensuring market leadership in target segments and regions.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Define and Maintain Processes and Tools: Establish and maintain the processes, governance, and tools to drive operational excellence within the portfolio and product management organization, encompassing a team of global product managers, product specialists, regional portfolio managers, and global portfolio sustainability and product compliance.
- Portfolio Management Framework: Define and maintain a portfolio management framework with an end-to-end process for portfolio management, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Process Updates: Evolve, adapt, and keep updated relevant portfolio and product management processes.
- Product Life Cycle Management: Implement strong product life cycle management processes. Promote methodologies to define product—and application-based customer value propositions.
- Documentation and Training: Document the product management framework and associated processes, ensuring proper implementation of product management tools and creating support material for users. Set the foundations to scale up and grow the knowledge and skills of the product management organization.
- Innovation and Strategic Positioning: Define a competitive positioning framework for competitor monitoring, including portfolio, pricing, and strategic market messages. Strengthen the processes, knowledge, and best practices related to product development business cases, market introduction plans, and how to measure their success. Explore and implement novel innovation processes, including innovation beyond technology (e.g., market innovation) and disruptive innovation.
Your Background
- Education: Solid B.A./B.S. degree.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in market analysis, product management, business transformation, or change management within the energy sector.
- Process Management: Proven track record and knowledge of process management and definition.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset for market analysis, process development, and concept creation.
- Multinational Experience: Experience working in complex and large multinational organizations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively train and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Project Management: Well-developed project management skills, with a keen sense of initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent command of English.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for business assignments.
- Change Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing change communications.
- Activity Management: Experience in managing, tracking, and reporting on activities.
