Overview

Shaw & Partners, a global advisory firm with capital-driven agility of a private investment fund and a long-term partnership approach to capital, seeks to appoint aGlobal Head of Investor Relations . This newly elevated role will be instrumental in shaping the firm’s investor engagement strategy and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication with a sophisticated base ofinstitutional investors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across key international markets. This position requires a seasoned investor relations executive with a global perspective, capital markets expertise, and a nuanced understanding of both private and public investment strategies. The successful candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a strategic mindset, and proven experience engaging complex, cross-border investor ecosystems.

Location: Global, with preference for Monaco; hybrid working arrangement combining remote and on-site presence.

Reporting Line: Chief Executive Officer / Chief Financial Officer.

Languages: Fluency in English and French is mandatory; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin is preferred) is essential to support engagement across Greater China and international investors.

Travel: Flexible, global travel required.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience; includes performance-linked incentives and long-term alignment mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Investor Engagement
    • Define and execute a comprehensive, global investor relations strategy aligned with the firm’s capital formation, fundraising, and transparency objectives.
    • Serve as the principal representative of the firm to the global investment community, including institutional investors, family offices, UHNW clients, analysts, and rating agencies.
    • Position and articulate the firm’s investment philosophy, financial performance, market positioning, and long-term value creation strategy.

Capital Formation & Relationship Management

  • Lead investor engagement initiatives across key geographies including Europe, Greater China, and the Middle East.
  • Strengthen existing relationships while identifying and cultivating new partnerships with leading allocators of capital.
  • Coordinate bespoke investor interactions, including one-on-one meetings, capital introduction events, investor days, and industry conferences.

Messaging, Disclosure & Market Intelligence

  • Oversee all investor communications, ensuring messaging consistency, regulatory compliance, and brand alignment across touchpoints.
  • Prepare and review earnings materials, quarterly reports, investment updates, offering memoranda, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and investor sentiment to inform strategic decision-making at the executive and board level.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, investment committee, communications, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment across all external communications.
  • Advise and prepare senior executives for investor interactions and public engagements.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global investor relations team.

Candidate Profile

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in investor relations, capital markets, fundraising, or investment banking, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role .
  • Demonstrated success in engaging institutional LPs, UHNWIs, family offices , and sovereign wealth funds across global markets.
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, fund structures (closed and open-ended), investment products, and valuation methodologies.
  • Track record of managing complex investor communication strategies in both public and private capital environments.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline required; MBA and/or CFA designation strongly preferred.
