This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized $300B technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. Your role and responsibilities
ABB Robotics is seeking a Global Head of Content to oversee the vision, strategy, and execution of content initiatives that position the company as a global thought leader in technology, physical AI and robotics.
You will unite journalistic curiosity with effective storytelling and positioning skills, using a creative eye to produce impactful, brand-centred stories that link innovation to real-world benefits.
You’ll also build and scale a content ecosystem that inspires audiences, enhances brand reputation and fuels growth across markets.
The location is flexible in a Robotics location across Europe.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a global content strategy that aligns with the company’s mission, brand positioning, and business goals
- Coordinate and supervise content development through all phases of editorial production, from ideation to publication
- Manage editorial board meetings and the editorial calendar in close collaboration with product communications, business line communications partners, and the social media team.
- Collaborate seamlessly with external content partners and suppliers to produce high-quality, high-impact content
- Identify new formats, emerging platforms, and storytelling technologies (e.g., AI-driven narratives, immersive media, podcasts, interactive content)
- Act as the editor-in-chief of the brand; curating and overseeing all long-form, multimedia, and short-form content
- Apply a journalist’s approach to uncovering stories within the organization
- Partner with PR and communications teams to amplify stories across owned, earned, and paid channels
- Oversee budgets and define KPIs and success metrics to measure content impact across channels
Qualifications for the role
- 10+ years in content strategy, journalism, communications within the high-growth tech / B2B sector
- Proficient editorial and storytelling background with a portfolio of brand-led and thought leadership content
- Deep understanding of the technology landscape, digital ecosystems, and B2B/B2C content channels
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, AI and digital transformation themes
- Proficient in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Native level English required
- Curious storyteller who can translate complex tech ideas into human, emotional narratives
- Strategic thinker with a deep appreciation for brand, audience, and innovation
- Tech-savvy creative who is on top of digital trends, platforms, and tools shaping the future of content
- Collaborative individual who flourishes in a rapidly evolving global landscape
