Global Technical Operations & Supply Global Technical Operations & Supply (Global TechOp&S) is Chiesi's global manufacturing and supply area, responsible for ensuring consistent, outstanding quality, service and value across our end‐to‐end supply chain. It oversees the entire lifecycle of the drug: from process optimization and industrialization, to manufacturing, engineering, quality oversight, and supply chain management. Operational Excellence drives continuous improvement supported by four manufacturing sites and a Virtual Plant network of external partners. Who we are looking for This is what you will do The Global Engineering Compliance & Risk Management Lead sets and improves global engineering standards around GxP, sustainability, asset integrity, maintenance, and safety. This role ensures regulatory alignment, drives proactive compliance culture, and strengthens capabilities across all sites. It leads governance, audits, and risk mitigation processes, establishing a unified framework for managing engineering risks, monitoring KPIs, supporting corrective actions, and embedding risk-based thinking into strategies and planning. Operating autonomously and partnering with senior leadership, it supports business continuity, cost efficiency, and sustainable global growth. You will be responsible for Define and maintain global engineering and maintenance compliance standards aligned with regulations, GMP, HSE standards, industry best practices, corporate policies, and sustainability goals. Provide strategic leadership and act as technical authority across all manufacturing sites on maintenance management, asset integrity, and engineering governance. Drive continuous improvement to minimize risks in process safety, machinery, hazardous utilities, and electrical safety through standardized practices. Conduct global assessments and audits to monitor compliance, identify gaps, and support corrective and preventive actions. Lead risk mitigation strategies enhancing business continuity and operational resilience. Coach and support local teams, fostering knowledge sharing and consistent global standards implementation. Collaborate cross-functionally and with executives to embed compliance priorities in business planning and capital investments. Establish and govern a global engineering risk management framework, tracking KPIs and ensuring consistent governance. Guide identification, assessment, and mitigation of emerging risks, ensuring robust action plans and continuous improvement. You will need to have Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering 8–12 years of industry experience, strong in Mechanical Electrical Piping Design and international engineering standards Proficient in spoken and written English Expertise in Operational Engineering, Plant Reliability, Good Engineering and Manufacturing Practices Skills in Project Management, Risk Management, Strategic Leadership, Data-Driven Decision Making Strong Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Cultural Collaboration abilities Location Flexible, with 30%-50% travel availability.
