Key Results

Technical and policy expertise to devise and implement GFAR Programme of Work and facilitate GFAR activities, especially Collective Actions.

Key Functions

  • Mobilizes dialogue and collective actions among Partners in the Forum.
  • Spearheads GFAR’s vision to improve agrifood research and innovation for Sustainable Development, including policy and strategy development.
  • Develops methodologies, tools, and systems to support programme planning and delivery.
  • Manages reports, assessments, analyses; leads multidisciplinary teams; participates in networks and studies.
  • Coordinates technical support and ensures quality of capacity development and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Supports international meetings to advance GFAR’s mission and engages members and partners.
  • Collaborates with FAO units and organizes related technical events.

Specific Functions

  • Advises GFAR leadership on strategy, resource mobilization, and transforming research governance for innovation.
  • Supports co-creation and co-research approaches focusing on smallholder producers.
  • Contributes to strategic documents like Theory of Change and Partnership Principles.
  • Engages GFAR members and partners in activities, facilitating multi-stakeholder Collective Actions.
  • Coordinates actions on Forgotten Foods, Participatory Research, and Higher Education.
  • Assists in developing research agendas aligned with SDGs.
  • Collaborates on knowledge management and communication activities.
  • Prepares surveys, studies, articles, and organizes presentations related to GFAR’s initiatives.
  • Organizes outreach activities and inputs for key meetings.
  • Participates in international conferences and workshops to promote GFAR’s work.
  • Builds relationships with stakeholders like FAO, IFAD, and CGIAR.
