General Manager

Three businesses. Millions of users. One mandate: scale. We are looking for a General Manager to lead, Docsity,WeUni and OPIT - Open Institute of Technology, into their next chapter: bringing sharper execution, stronger structure and ambitious growth to a group already making its mark on Global EdTech.

This is a rare opportunity to take real ownership in a sector being reshaped by AI, community and the globalisation of higher education.

The Ecosystem

You will help scale a portfolio of education businesses combining:

• Docsity , a large-scale student platform with millions of users, now evolving from a document marketplace into an AI-native learning platform
• WeUni , a B2B education and lead-generation platform serving universities and higher education institutions
• OPIT – Open Institute of Technology , an accredited online higher education institution offering applied technology degrees, designed for the next generation of digital professionals

Your mission will be to drive sustainable growth, strengthen product-market fit, improve execution across teams, and build a more structured, scalable and high-performing organization.

The role

Working closely with the Founder and existing leadership teams, you will own the growth trajectory and operational performance of the group. The role spans strategy and execution, product thinking and commercial leadership.

• Define and execute product-led, community-led and commercially driven growth strategies across the portfolio
• Strengthen engagement, retention and monetisation across the student ecosystem
• Bring structure and clarity to product, marketing, sales, operations and customer experience
• Build KPI frameworks, operating rhythms and scalable processes
• Drive execution across product roadmaps, growth initiatives and commercial priorities
• Identify and develop cross-platform synergies
• Represent the group externally towards partners, institutions and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate combines entrepreneurial energy with strong managerial discipline, someone equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

• Strong experience in digital products, platforms, marketplaces or user-based businesses
• A solid background in product-led growth, digital marketing, community and retention
• Experience managing P&L, budgets, KPIs and cross-functional teams
• Strong execution skills and the ability to turn strategy into measurable results
• Understanding of AI-enabled products and how they can improve learning experiences
• Exposure to B2B sales, partnerships or institutional business development
• Strong people leadership and ability to manage senior, diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills and international exposure
• Fluency in English; Italian is also important for the role
• Availability to work from Turin, with travel when needed (Rome and Malta)

Nice to Have

• Experience in EdTech, online learning or higher education
• Experience with user-generated content platforms or communities
• Exposure to subscription models, digital monetization or marketplace dynamics
• Technical or STEM background
• Experience in regulated or accreditation-driven environments

This is not a coordination role. It is an ownership role, for someone who wants to shape the next chapter of a group that is genuinely changing how students learn, connect and build their futures.
