This position is based in Germany. On behalf of a well‑established international industrial group, recognized for its premium positioning in high‑end glass solutions for tableware, we are conducting a search for a General Manager to lead its German commercial subsidiary.

This is a strategic leadership role with full responsibility for business performance, market development, and organizational effectiveness in a key European market.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Group senior leadership, the General Manager will oversee the overall management of the German branch, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and driving sustainable growth.

  • Lead and coordinate all commercial and operational activities of the subsidiary.
  • Define and execute the local commercial strategy in line with Group guidelines.
  • Drive achievement of revenue, margin, and KPI targets.
  • Leverage and coordinate a local support team (sales support, customer service, back office) to ensure effective execution of commercial and operational activities.
  • Oversee the full customer lifecycle, including acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Manage the P&L, budgeting, and cost control of the branch.
  • Collaborate with corporate central functions (Sales, R&D, Finance, Operations) to ensure alignment between Group strategy and local market needs.
  • Act as the company’s representative in the local market, building strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced and entrepreneurial leader with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record in managing business units or subsidiaries.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent academic background.
  • Significant experience in Branch Management or senior commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Strong commercial acumen, expertise in financial management, budgeting, and strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and KPI‑driven performance management.
  • Leadership style focused on results, accountability, and team development.
  • Native‑level German and fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of autonomy, ownership, and entrepreneurial drive.

The candidate is expected to be currently based in Germany.
