Job Description
While functional execution is led by Directors, the General Manager maintains overall responsibility for business results, ensuring alignment across functions and accountability against agreed objectives. The role requires strong financial acumen, rigorous performance management, and the ability to drive profitable growth while safeguarding margins, cash flow, and capital efficiency across international markets.
Main focus
- Achievement of annual revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA targets
- Year-on-year improvement in operating margin and cash flow

Main responsibilities
- Hold full accountability for company P&L performance, ensuring delivery of revenue, gross margin EBITDA, cash flow, and return metrics.
- Develop and lead execution of the company's 5‑year strategic plan, translating goals into clear operational and financial actions across functions.
- Define enterprise-wide KPIs and ensure alignment with strategic and financial priorities.
- Provide senior oversight to Branded and Private Label Sales, ensuring commercial strategies support profitability and long‑term value.
- Oversee pricing architecture, commercial policies, and portfolio strategy to protect margins and customer profitability.
- Guide market prioritisation, portfolio decisions, and capital allocation through disciplined analysis and risk assessment.
- Approve major commercial investments, partnerships, new opportunities, and market entry strategies based on robust business cases and return analysis.
- Partner with Finance to lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial planning.
- Drive financial discipline through cost control, productivity improvement, and capital efficiency.
- Oversee risk management frameworks, ensuring identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial, operational, and strategic risks.
- Ensure strong internal controls, governance standards, and compliance systems.
- Monitor and challenge performance across revenue, margin development, working capital, EBITDA, and return on invested capital.
- Provide executive oversight of supply chain, production, and logistics to ensure operational output meets commercial expectations and financial targets.
- Champion continuous improvement to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Balance growth objectives with operational sustainability and disciplined capital allocation.
- Present clear, data‑driven performance updates to the CEO and Board, ensuring transparency on financial results, strategic progress, and risk.
- Maintain oversight of distributor management frameworks to enable profitable growth and working capital efficiency.
- Represent the company in senior‑level engagements with customers, partners, and distributors, reinforcing strategic alignment and commercial credibility.
- Lead and unify the Management Team around clear company objectives.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and data‑driven decision making.
- Hold functional leaders accountable for KPIs and financial commitments.
- Co‑develop succession plans and strengthen leadership capability across commercial, financial, and operational areas.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in FMCG or branded consumer goods manufacturing; international experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated full P&L ownership with accountability for revenue, margin, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Proven leadership of senior commercial and operations teams across multi‑market, distributed environments.
- Strong cross‑functional background across operations, supply chain, and financial management, with a track record of profitable growth and improved efficiency.
- Ability to operate at enterprise level, balancing strategic ambition with disciplined financial rigour.
- Advanced financial acumen: budgeting and forecasting, margin and pricing governance, working capital optimisation, investment appraisal, capital allocation, customer/SKU profitability, and trade spend ROI evaluation.
