Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Risk Leadership:
- Develop and embed a comprehensive ERM framework that aligns with the Group's strategic objectives, culture, and values.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks across the entire brand portfolio and global operations.
- Provide strategic counsel on risk-informed decision-making for major initiatives, including M&A, market entry, and significant investments.
2. Consumer Sector-Specific Risk Management:
- Brand & Reputation Risk: Develop strategies to protect the Group's most valuable assets—its brand equity and reputation—mitigating risks from public relations crises, social media, and counterfeiting.
- Supply Chain & Sustainability Risk: Oversee risks within complex, global supply chains (e.g., raw material sourcing, ethical compliance, logistics). Integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) risks and opportunities into the ERM framework.
- Retail & Market Risk: Manage risks related to geographic concentration, consumer demand shifts, economic cycles, and the performance of wholesale and retail partners.
- Digital & Cybersecurity Risk: Address risks associated with e-commerce, digital transformation, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and cyber threats targeting customer data and intellectual property.
3. Operational & Financial Risk:
- Oversee credit, market, and liquidity risk, ensuring robust internal controls and financial governance.
- Manage insurance strategies to effectively transfer risk where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, and anti-corruption laws (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act).
4. Governance & Culture:
- Chair the Group's Risk Management Committee, fostering a strong culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
- Regularly report to the Board Audit & Risk Committee on the Group's risk profile, significant exposures, and the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, CPA) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in risk management, auditing, or compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CRO, Head of Risk, or equivalent).
- Strong expertise in managing brand/reputation risk, supply chain risk, and digital risk.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and board members.
- Fluent in Chinese and English; proficiency in French, Italian is a significant advantage.
