Adecco Italia spa is looking for a GENERAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST for a major client in pharmaceutical sector.

In this role, reporting to the Associate Director General Accounting, he/she will manage various accounting activities related to US GAAP and local GAAP results. This includes both accounting, financial analysis and internal control related matters performed locally or through partner teams (e.g. Business Services Center, CoEs).

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Italian and in English
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance

Contract & Location

We offer a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. Location: Rome (Saxa Rubra). Smart working is expected two days a week. The annual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities

The key objective of the role is to ensure accurate and compliant accounting results in the Italian legal entities for US GAAP and local GAAP.

  • Accounting to Reporting activities both for local GAAP and for US GAAP purposes
  • Preparing and closing of the books on a monthly basis; Managing the monthly closing process in cooperation with the EMEA Business Services Center as well as budget holders and financial analysts, preparing and/or reviewing SAP accounting journal entries and various other accounting activities as and when required
  • Support the yearly closing of group reporting and local statutory books from an accounting perspective
  • Posting quarterly accrual of current and deferred income taxes
  • Locally specific sales accounting, pension & benefits accounting
  • Inventory and Assets management
  • Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts
  • Oversight of the Source to Settle cycle in cooperation with the EMEA Business Service Center
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with regulations
  • Support new system implementations
  • Monitor key performance indicators mainly in the AtR and StS area and address any action required (e.g. through review of dashboards and implementation of action plans)
  • Support the Finance team in various financial activities (e.g. preparation of reports, various ad hoc analysis, review of exceptions, implementation of remediation actions)
  • Provide support in executing financial and cross-functional projects working with the global and local team to ensure timely and effective implementation
  • Provide support on ad hoc requests to the business
  • Work effectively with key‑stakeholders within Finance and across Functions and different levels of management
