Position Summary
The Gearboxes & Winches Design Manager is a senior technical leadership role within Allison Off-Highway. The role is responsible for the end-to-end engineering ownership of gearbox and winch product lines used in industrial and mobile off-highway applications. This position leads multidisciplinary teams across new product development, product evolution, validation, and lifecycle maintenance, ensuring performance, durability, reliability, and cost targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead engineering teams responsible for gearbox and winch systems
• Drive new product development from concept to industrialization
• Act as Chief Design Engineer and technical authority
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management
• Support customer technical reviews and issue resolution
• Promote talent development and continuous improvement

Job position requirements
Education: University master degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Industrial
Professional background:
10–15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within off-highway or heavy industrial sectors, with at least 5 years in technical leadership roles such as Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Technical Lead.
