Overview

GCAP Engine – Frames & Structures Industrial Leader role at GE Aerospace. Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, develops the future of flight and provides propulsion systems for civil and military aviation. The role is based in Brindisi with potential travel to other Avio Aero sites and suppliers as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the industrialization and readiness of the Engine Frames & Structures Subsystems and Modules
  • Responsible for the readiness and execution within the Supply Chain of the National Technology Maturation Plans (NTPs) of the Structural modules and their integration with Demonstrating vehicles and Engine program plans
  • Responsible for the Delivery Management of their area of competence
  • Create and execute integrated plans according to the Program Target and the Program Integrated Master Schedule
  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams during the maturation plan execution
  • Proactively identify, detect, prevent and manage risks that may impact technical success, timing of execution, and program compliance
  • Prepare Program Control Board documentation for their area
  • Report out to Leadership team; support Program MOR preparation
  • Monitor program progress (KPIs) at the operating rhythm (WOR, MOR)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Technical competence on products and processes, from Design, Manufacturing or Production Engineering roles
  • Previous experience in New Product Introduction development projects/programs
  • Prior program/project management experience
  • Italian and Fluent English (oral and written)
  • Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, are required

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong process discipline with analytic and statistical skills
  • Know-how in APQP/AS13100 and LEAN principles
  • Change-oriented with ability to drive process improvements and handle competing priorities
