Future Talent Program is a Trainee Program within Tetra Pak. We offer a permanent position from start in September 2026 at our site in Modena – Italy . You will onboard an individual designed development program for 18 months connected to a specific position and the Tetra Pak organization. During the program you will participate in trainings and job rotations throughout various parts of Tetra Pak to explore your potential and grow as a person. As a Trainee here with us, you will get to know our entire business and collaborate with colleagues all over the world.
Within D&T Equipment Engineering organization, we are looking for a Future Talent Development Engineer – Virtual Modelling in the field of Physical System Simulation using finite element technology. In this role you will be part of the Simulation, Modelling and Measurement Team in Preparation & Forming Solutions department, supporting our Products and Technology Development as well as technical knowhow activities by developing mathematical models and running simulations to enable informed decision making.
You will be based in Modena – Italy , but you will work in a global arena.
What you will do
- Work with Product and Technology Development project teams developing simulation models and performing technical calculations using commercial Finite Element and CAD tools in support to the design of packaging equipment solutions.
- Focus on advanced modelling techniques including explicit dynamic analysis, shell geometries, contact interactions, nonlinear and complex material modelling and fluid‑structure interaction modelling.
- Define test specification, support identification of measurement equipment and sensors and analyse results of experimental test activities with the purpose of validating virtual simulations of complex physical phenomena.
- Contribute to build the knowledge in the area of computational mechanics with special emphasis on packaging material modelling and Machine‑Material Interaction problems.
We believe you have
- Master Degree in Engineering or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar.
- Previous experience in finite element modelling and simulation of mechanical system using commercial software tools, matured in academic context would be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages (Fortran, Python) to develop user subroutines.
- Strong personal drive and with very high interest in technical solutions and innovation.
- Good communication skills. Structured and analytical way of thinking.
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
