Responsibilities
- Supports Engineering & Procurement teams during the pre-bid phase in the preparation of Standard ITPs according to Project Specifications.
- Conducts expediting and inspection visits at assigned suppliers and sub-suppliers and issues the related reports according to departmental procedures.
- Organizes and completes pre-inspection meetings to define quality and management aspects of the order, and manages inspection notifications in agreement with the Post Order Manager and project requirements.
- Analyzes and verifies, in agreement with the Expediting & Inspection Category Manager, the quality control plans (ITP) issued by suppliers and sub-suppliers, establishes the call requirements (witness points/hold points) for various inspections, and performs inspection activities at suppliers and issues the related reports.
- Interacts and supports, within the scope of competence, the Project Manager and procuring project managers of the Procurement Department, and the Project Leaders of the technical disciplines during the project.
- Proposes to the Post Order Manager the opening of non-conformities (also upon notification from agency inspectors) and punch lists, ensuring their management until closure.
- Manages relationships with the Supplier’s QA/QC Manager.
- Supports, in agreement with the Expediting & Inspection Category Manager, the evaluation, performance, and results of assigned suppliers.
- Following the positive outcome of the final inspection, communicates the technical release of the material to the expediter.
- Ensures the constant updating of sensitive data in the company management system for the supplies under your responsibility.
- Maintains the technical and qualification updates required by company procedures for the assignment.
- Prepares the assignment pack for the agency inspector, detailing the inspection tasks, with the assistance of the Expediting & Inspection Planner.
- Defines, according to project procedures, the structure of the final documentation.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Oil & Gas business.
- Fluent English speaker and writer.
- Team worker and effective communicator.
- Availability to travel for short periods in Italy and abroad.
- Adaptability, entrepreneurship, and working with method.
