Opportunity

  • Be the face of Sonder, working with team members to create an exceptional first impression on guests, visitors, and partners at the front desk.
  • Guide guests through the technology‑rich Sonder experience, ensuring they engage with the Sonder app and self‑service features.
  • Communicate with guests in‑person and through digital communication systems to anticipate and address their needs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout their stay.
  • Handle all guest interactions with high quality of service and professionalism, owning guest issues to resolution and accommodating requests whenever possible.
  • Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of both guest‑facing and back‑of‑house spaces, contributing to a welcoming and efficient environment.
  • Flexibly support the back‑of‑house team daily as needed, including housekeeping audits, inventory checks, and minor maintenance/technology issues.
  • Support multiple Sonder properties in the local market as required.
  • Assist market leadership with administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly and contribute to continuous improvement in the guest experience.
  • In applicable markets, set up breakfast buffet and tables, help serve breakfast and respect HACCP.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in hotels, restaurants, or customer‑facing hospitality roles.
  • Personable, service‑mindful, and positive; enjoy speaking with guests in‑person and via digital support channels.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing guest needs.
  • Strong computer literacy and writing skills, comfortable switching between multiple desktop and mobile applications.
  • Organized, hardworking, detail‑oriented and thrives in a fast‑paced environment; can work independently and in a team.
  • Flexible schedule and open to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods and lift/carry items up to 50lb.
  • Proficiency in languages other than English is an asset.
  • Requires a reliable smartphone for work purposes (expense reimbursement available).
  • Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts; shift starts/ends may vary, rate premium paid.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties on a daily basis.
