We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with a strong technical background and a product-oriented mindset to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team on an innovative project developed by Startup Bakery.
This role is both hands-on and strategic: you will guide technical decisions, coordinate a cross-functional team (backend, frontend, design, and data), and ensure that business requirements are translated into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main technical point of contact between business, product, and engineering.
- Translate business needs and product requirements into clear technical architectures and implementation plans.
- Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team including backend and frontend engineers, a product designer, and a data engineer.
- Define and evolve the overall system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support the team with hands‑on development and code reviews when needed.
- Drive technical decision‑making, prioritization, and trade‑offs in collaboration with stakeholders.
Must-have
- Solid background in software engineering (backend‑oriented preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with previous experience as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer.
- Strong understanding of modern web architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data‑driven systems.
- Experience coordinating or mentoring small, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Good knowledge of agile methodologies and related tools, preferably Scrum and Jira.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Pragmatic, product‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering real business value.
Nice-to-have
- Experience working in startups or early‑stage products.
- Familiarity with data platforms, analytics pipelines, or AI‑enabled products.
