Freelance System Engineer

SGB Holding ICT Division , Head Hunting Company focused on Innovation Technology & Digitalization, is looking for a Freelance System Engineer who will join the Infrastructure Teams of an important Global communication technology software and services firm.

Job Description

The selected candidate will join a leading Juniper Networks partner, responsible for managing the entire network infrastructure for the Milan–Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

The main activities concern: support & operate application infrastructure for monitoring, management & operation of juniper network products. Familiarity with VMWare, Linux OS, opensource tools for networks observability & services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence: Provide expert guidance and hands-on support to operations teams to maintain service stability, performance, and security during Game-time operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate closely with venue managers, engineering teams, service providers, and Games operations leadership to align designs and deployments with event timelines and evolving requirements.
• Issue Resolution: Act on complex network incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution to protect critical event services.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years in enterprise networking consulting or solution delivery, ideally for large-scale or high-availability environments (e.g., sports events, broadcast, or public venues).
• Experience of working with server, virtualization, linux os & open-source tools .
• Strong knowledge of network monitoring, incident management, and operational support processes.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multi-vendor and cross-functional teams in time-critical projects.
• Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with technical teams and senior event stakeholders.
• Familiarity with enterprise network services like DNS, DHCP, NTP & Grafana.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting international events (sports, entertainment, or similar).
• Certifications in relevant technologies (?). Redhat, Juniper, VMWare
• Understanding of bash scripting, ansible and APIs.

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of enterprise networking, WiFi network
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management services.
• Ability to create and interpret network diagrams, documentation, and operational playbooks
