Descrizione dell'offerta

Founding Engineer / Tech Lead (Co-founder Track)

Location: Remote (Italy/Europe preferred)

Sector: EnergyTech / Renewables / CER (Comunità Energetiche Rinnovabili)

Compensation: Equity + Revenue Share (Vesting based on milestones)

The Mission

Altheon is accelerating the energy transition in Italy by removing the friction from Community Energy (CER) projects. We don't just talk about renewables; we build them. From municipal rooftops to agrivoltaics, we manage the messy reality of permitting, operations, and stakeholder management.

We are looking for a Founding Engineer to partner with us and turn our proven internal playbooks into CER-OPS : the operating system for renewable energy communities.

The Product: CER-OPS

Right now, renewable energy projects run on spreadsheets, fragmented emails, and anxiety.

CER-OPS is a B2B workflow engine designed to bring clarity and auditability to this chaos. It handles:

  • Project Registry: A single source of truth for assets and stakeholders.
  • Gated Workflows: enforcing deadlines, compliance checks, and stage-gates.
  • Dataroom Automation: Auto-structured documentation for investors and municipalities.

The Strategy: We are not a generic SaaS searching for a problem. We are the first customer. We will build the MVP to power Altheon's active pipeline, prove value immediately, and then expand to our ecosystem of partners (EPCs, designers, investors).

The Role

You are not just writing code; you are defining the technical DNA of the company. You will own the engineering roadmap end-to-end, making pragmatic choices to ship fast without creating unmanageable debt.

Key Objectives:

  • Ship the MVP (6-8 Weeks): Build a functional, scoped version of CER-OPS focused on core utility (Registry + Checklists + Dataroom).
  • Architect for Iteration: Define a data model and architecture that allows us to pivot and expand as we learn from real-world usage.
  • Establish Best Practices: Set up CI/CD, authentication (RBAC), security basics, and deployment pipelines from Day 1.

How we work:

  • High Velocity: Weekly demos, async decision-making, and a focus on shipping.
  • Outcome over Output: We care about features that unblock real energy projects, not lines of code.

The Stack

We are open to any modern, robust stack that allows for rapid iteration. However, we lean towards ecosystem-standard choices (e.g., TypeScript/Node/React or Python/Django/React ) to ensure future hireability and library support.

  • Infrastructure: Likely AWS, Google Cloud, or Supabase/Vercel for speed.

Who You Are

  • A Builder: You have a history of shipping products from 0 to 1. You know when to use a library and when to build custom.
  • Pragmatic: You avoid overengineering. You understand that a perfect architecture is useless if we miss the market window.
  • Autonomous: You can take a high-level requirement (\"We need to track document approvals\") and turn it into a shipped feature without needing hand-holding.
  • Communicator: You write clear documentation and can explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Why Join Altheon? (The Founder's Commitment)

I am not just an \"idea guy.\" I bring the domain expertise and the market.

  • Active Pipeline: We have immediate projects and users ready to test the software.
  • Domain Expertise: I handle the regulation, finance, legal, and delivery complexity. You focus on the tech.
  • Ecosystem Access: Direct lines to municipalities, EPCs, and investors who are the future customers of this product.

The Deal (Compensation)

This is a co-founding/equity opportunity.

  • Salary: None initially. This role is for someone currently financially stable or looking for a side-project-turned-startup.
  • Equity & Rev Share: Generous equity package + a share of revenue, vesting based on clear, delivered milestones.
  • Terms: Standard vesting with a cliff. Requires IP assignment and exclusivity on the code written.
