FM Building Management System (BMS) Specialist | Human Technopole, Milan

Responsibilities

  • Support the management, maintenance, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS) across the campus.
  • Design, implement, and perform daily operational maintenance of BMS technologies.
  • Assist in the creation of a multi‑year BMS integration plan and define BMS policies, SOPs, and system specifications.
  • Collaborate with the ICT team to align framework configurations and security protocols.
  • Support BIM integration in Facility Management, updating system records and schematics.
  • Work on BMS technologies, IoT platforms, and data analysis following established guidelines.
  • Participate in software logic verification and updates under supervision.
  • Assist maintenance technicians with daily training and BMS‑related tasks.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and the Helpdesk system to log and resolve fault reports.
  • Contribute to BMS data analysis for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot building system issues; support configuration and optimization of BMS technologies.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with BMS systems.
  • Familiarity with Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
  • Fluent in Italian (written and spoken).

Preferred

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related).
  • Knowledge of ICT frameworks and security standards management.
  • Experience with BIM in Facility Management.
  • Knowledge of SIEMENS, Schneider, Trend, or ISMA BMS systems.
  • Previous experience in research, hospital, or university environments.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Organizational and Social Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal teams, BMS vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within team environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and understanding of operational workflows.
  • Capable of working efficiently within technical teams.

Benefits & Compensation

Permanent contract under CCNL Chimico Farmaceutico, employee level C2. Salary up to €50k depending on seniority. The position is based in Milan, Italy, within our vibrant international campus.
