Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize employee productivity and job satisfaction.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Set clear expectations and goals for the team and motivate them to achieve targets.
Sales and Customer Service:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Monitor and analyse sales figures, identify trends, and implement necessary measures to optimize sales performance.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times, resolving customer issues and inquiries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer loyalty and repeat business.
Store Operations and Merchandising:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and inventory control.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide an inviting shopping environment.
- Implement effective visual merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation and maximize sales opportunities.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, replenishment, and product ordering to avoid stockouts and minimize overstock situations.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the store's budget, including sales forecasts, expense control, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, gross margin, and labor costs to drive financial success.
- Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Control operational costs and minimize wastage to maximize profitability.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers, following health and safety guidelines.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
Profilo
- Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations and merchandising techniques.
- Proficient in analysing sales data and financial reports.
- Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Possibility of a permanent contract that will be evaluated with the candidate during the job interview.
