Mission of the role: Ensure the financial health, compliance, and sustainability of the company by leading all accounting, reporting, FP&A, and financial control activities. Acting as a Business Partner to the GM, the role aims to provide accurate, timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making to accomplish business objectives.


Core responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manages and supervises statutory accounting: coordinates external accountants in the preparation of statutory closing
  • Prepare and publishes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyses financial performance and present insights to management.
  • Coordinates group quarterly closing and intercompany reconciliations
  • Manages yearly financial statement process
  • Builds projected company cash flows
  • Ensures the bridge between statutory and management accounts
  • Coordinates administrative finance workflows (payments, purchase orders, ERP data processes) to ensure smooth operations

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Monitor budget vs. actuals and provide variance analysis and related action plan.
  • Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Pricing management: ensures the definition and implementation of effective pricing actions, maximizing gross margin of the affiliate
  • Cost controlling: ensures proper control on costs, recommends cost saving action plans

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Design and enforce internal controls and financial policies.
  • Coordinate audits (external and internal, if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance and corporate governance tasks/rules
  • Supervises and coordinates the proper management of finances: banking and treasury management; credit management
  • Acts as local compliance referent, ensuring regulatory alignment and governance standards

Leadership & Cross-functional Support

  • Act as a business partner of the GM and other strategic departments’ managers, providing support on resource allocation, investment recommendations, and evaluation/implementation of commercial projects
  • Coordinates HR budget preparation/monitoring and supports key HR processes, ensuring alignment and timely execution across functions
  • Team management: provides day‑to‑day team management, offering guidance and coordination across a team composed of a trainee, an office manager, and one functional report, ensuring clarity, alignment and smooth execution


Abilities and experience required

  • Degree in Economics (accounting or finance) required
  • 4 + years of experience (Big 4 experience will be a plus)
  • Languages: Italian, English. Other European languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) are a plus.
  • IT skills, including expert-level Excel proficiency
  • Business acumen and high interest to work and develop on business-related subjects / initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-focused and practical approach
  • Methodical, organized, and able to set priorities.
  • Strategic vision, and at the same time, hands-on focus.
  • High performer and goal-oriented problem solver
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a lean organization.
