Financial Controller – Milan, Italy
Energean is seeking a Financial Controller with 3 to 5 years’ experience in an auditing firm and 2 to 3 years in a company role. The position reports to the Italian Financial Controller Lead, based in Milan, with permanent full‑time employment and one day of remote work per week.
Key Accountabilities
- Planning and control processes (business plan, budget, forecast, financial closing)
- Monthly reporting for the parent company with group KPI analysis
- Monthly reporting for business functions and technical departments
- Development of control model and reporting system
- Quantitative and qualitative variance analysis
- Monitoring and management of Time Sheet, management accounting, turnover, allocations, hourly costs, and joint tariffs
- Collaboration with other functions for process management and allocation of revenues / opex / capex to cost objects
- Daily coordination with company functions
- Processing monthly allocations and verifying allocations from other functions
- Mapping of orders and contracts to cost centers
- Support implementation of new accounting standards
- Drafting of Management Report for year‑end financial statements
- Supervision of Croatian branch activities
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Economics or related discipline
- 3 to 5 years experience in an auditing company
- 2 to 3 years experience as a Financial Controller in a company
- Good knowledge of English (B2 or higher)
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience with SAP 4/HANA

- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
