Overview
Position Summary
The Accounting Specialist will support the Finance department by managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This role requires strong attention to details, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- General Accounting
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Intercompany accounting, reconciliation and management
- Accounts Receivable
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections.
- Taxes and fiscal declarations
- Team support on: Witholding Taxes, Tax exempt declaration, virtual stampYearly TP DocumentF24 for tax paymentIntrastat
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in variance analysis and budget tracking.
- Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
- Contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (SAP, or similar).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
