The Role

Do you want to use your accounting expertise to drive the energy transition forward? The Financial Accountant is a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the tax and project controlling teams. Based in our Milan office, the Financial Accountant will support the financial operations of our renewable energy business, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with ITA GAAP and IFRS, and contributing to the financial health of our renewable energy projects. The Financial Accountant will maintain accounting books, managing VAT and WTH processes, and supporting the preparation of financial statements.

Joining the Finance team, the Financial Accountant will perform day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and accruals. They will also monitor project‑related financials, including CAPEX and OPEX tracking for renewable energy assets, and support the month‑end and year‑end closing processes. They will prepare VAT settlements, manage the VAT group, handle withholding taxes, and contribute to the preparation of unbundling reports. The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the growth of our sustainability‑focused initiatives. Desirable Skills

  • Experience using or developing digital tools or workflows to improve efficiency, innovation and productivity
  • Strong background in general accounting operations and financial reporting (ITA GAAP and IFRS)
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4 HANA and advanced Excel skills
  • Previous exposure to VAT settlements, WTH returns, and unbundling processes
  • Familiarity with renewable energy project structures and financial models
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities with strong analytical thinking
