Financial Accountant

Leading global operator specialised in the complete management of solar and wind assets for the generation of electricity is looking for an Accountant to join our Italian division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The successful candidate will play a supporting role in a wide variety of analytical, documentary, procedural, internal, and external reporting activities related to the company and its relevant stakeholders.
• Activities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and enter intercompany transactions.
• Support month-end reporting activities.
• Prepare monthly VAT liquidation and support the tax advisor for monthly tax obligations.
• Support in the preparation of various types of tax returns.
• Assist with year-end statutory audit and financial reporting.
• Assist with budget control and budget forecasts.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Enter supplier invoices and GL transactions in SAP.
• Manage and post monthly and year-end accruals.
• Prepare and process payments using banking platforms.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong critical thinking and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Knowledge of SAP FI (Accounting and Controlling module).
• Proficient in IT and computer systems.
